For The Sovereign Collection, we have reframed the tenets of waterfront architecture – balanced composition and graceful proportions – while creating a form true to this extraordinary location. An innovative study in timber, metal and glass, the residences of the Sovereign Collection appear to hover just above the water, embodying a belief in the harmony of grace, symmetry, and proportion.

a DISTINCTIVE interior DESIGN APPROACH

Koichi Takada belongs to a new generation of architects who strive to bring nature back into the urban environment — an approach he matured after living in cities: Tokyo, New York and London. Since establishing his practice in 2008, he has brought a Japanese sensibility to Australian architecture. Koichi’s emphasis is on a connection to nature, humanising and naturalising the urban environment.

The Koichi interior team refers to the interior aesthetic of The Sovereign Collection as ‘pelagic poetry’, a homage to the azure blue waters of the bay, the cool sea breezes, and the magnificent coastline.
